The Power of a Positive Mom

The best resource I’ve found on boosting my positivity level as a mom is Karol Ladd’s “The Power of a Positive Mom.” This book doesn’t just talk about the importance of having a positive attitude, it comes loaded with practical suggestions for keeping your attitude on the positive side. She reminds us of the importance of prayer in keeping our attitudes firmly planted in the positive, and she offers great insight into how our attitudes affect our kids. Trusting God

Trusting God  is a 12-week devotional study. Written by Sharon Jaynes, Gwen Smith and Mary Southerland, Trusting God will walk you through what trusting God looks like and how to let go and simply trust Him. Sharing intimate snapshots of their lives as they go Sharon, Gwen and Mary — you might know them from the Girlfriends in God daily devotional — take you on a journey of trust. This daily devotional offers up everyday situations kids might face and lets them decide what they should do. Each day includes a short description of a situation and multiple choice answers. Mom’s Ultimate Guide to the Tween Girl World

If you have a tween girl, the single best thing I’ve ever read on them is Nancy Rue’s book, Moms’ Ultimate Guide to the Tween Girl World. What Happened to My Little Girl?: Dad’s Ultimate Guide to His Tween Daughter

Nancy also has a book for dads of tween girls called What Happened to My Little Girl?: Dad’s Ultimate Guide to His Tween Daughter, which offers insight into tween girls for dads.
